I've set myself the challenge of running a half marathon on Christmas Eve with the help and motivation of a few of my friends from Young Farmers to raise funds for the two causes which i feel very passionately about and are close to my heart.

Firstly, Ayr and District Young Farmers Club. Like many other charities, Coronavirus has made it difficult for them to hold their usual fundraising events over the past 18 months so vital funds are required to ensure many others get the benefits from this fantastic club as I have done.

Secondly, the Renal Unit at Ayr Hospital as they have cared for my uncle incredibly whilst having dialysis at the unit three times each week for a number of years now. I hope these donations will help towards ensuring the unit have the necessary equipment and facilities there to be able to continue their fantastic work.

When starting your festivities, why not donate the cost of a glass of wine or pint of beer to help these two brilliant charities.
