Story

Hi

We are Shreya (12y) and Shrada (9y). We visited India during the summer holidays and were appalled to see many kids our age working as labourers, when they should be studying and complaining about their homework !

So we plan to change that as much as we can... by start supporting a small primary school in a rural village in South India.

We got inspired by our mum, who is a doctor and helps many sick children in India by conducting a charity.

We decided to initiate a small charity of our own (actually a project but we like to call it as a charity, you see...) called SHARE A SMILE ...BY CHILDREN ..FOR CHILDREN !

We got in touch with Dr Sai Lakshmi, the founder of EKAM foundation [www.ekamoneness.org] in India, who has kindly agreed for our little charity to form partnership with her big charity. She has also promised us to find a deserving school by this New Year.

So far, we have raised £215 by performing dance and music in 2 community events recently but we need a bit more....actually a lot more than that !

So, we decided to give up chocolates for 30 days, [which is going to be really ....really... hard, especially Lindt, which is our all time favourite,] so we can raise some more funds to help the children who are as smart as we are, but sadly not as lucky as we are !

Please....please....will you help us help those children to study like us ?

If so, please will you be kind enough to donate as little or as big as you can....

Also if your kids or any kids you know of, who might be interested to join 'share a smile' please could you ask them to email: joinshareasmile@gmail.com

Thank you

Shreya and Shrada
