Story
More than four and a half years after Russia launched its full-scale invasion, the situation in Ukraine remains devastating. Although Ukraine may appear less frequently in our headlines, the war is far from winding down.
Every day, Ukrainian cities, towns and villages continue to be attacked by missiles, drones and aerial bombs. Homes, hospitals, schools, businesses and vital infrastructure are being damaged and destroyed, while civilians continue to be killed, injured and displaced.
Now Ukraine is preparing for another extremely difficult winter. Russia continues to target the country’s energy infrastructure, threatening to leave millions of people without electricity, heating and running water when temperatures fall far below freezing.
For elderly people, children, those with disabilities and families already struggling after years of war, this can become a matter of survival.
This is why our support is so important. Generators, portable power stations, warm bedding, food and other basic necessities can make a real difference to people trying to survive the winter.
Ukraine may have disappeared from many headlines, but the suffering has not disappeared. As another bitter winter approaches, we must not allow our support to disappear either.

During the earlier years of the war, people across Shropshire and the rest of the country showed incredible generosity, donating essential items that were desperately needed. This aid reached some of the most affected areas of Ukraine and undoubtedly made a real difference to people’s lives.
After more than four years of war, many people have already donated everything they could from their cupboards, sheds, garages and attics. Understandably, there is simply less left to give — but the need in Ukraine has not become any less.
This is why financial donations are now more important than ever. They allow us to purchase exactly what is most urgently needed, including generators, portable power stations, food, warm bedding and other essential supplies.
As another extremely difficult winter approaches, with the continuing threat of attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, this support could once again become a matter of survival for many vulnerable people.
Every donation, however small, helps us continue this vital work and reminds the people of Ukraine that they have not been forgotten.

Suppliers have proven to be very generous but they cannot afford to give away their stock free of charge. However, every penny raised is spent as effectively as possible.
The team distributing aid supplied through this page places a lot of emphasis on supporting disabled people. Unfortunately, at the moment the disabled are hardly able to receive any assistance from the Ukrainian government and so depend almost completely on volunteers. Most of those whom we are supporting have been evacuated from the war zone, and in many cases their disabilities are a consequence of military attacks.

We have donated vans to our trusted volunteers on the ground in Ukraine. These vehicles are used to evacuate civilians from dangerous areas and deliver vital humanitarian aid to people living in communities close to the front line.
We also provide essential aid to orphanages and children’s centres, helping vulnerable children with the items they urgently need.
In addition, we support hospitals and rehabilitation centres by responding to requests for specific medical equipment and essential supplies whenever our funding allows.
Our priority is to get practical help directly to the people who need it most, particularly those living in the most vulnerable and dangerous areas of Ukraine.

Thanks
