The Shropshire Green New Deal covers key areas which are big news in Shropshire - house building, the proposed North West 'Relief' Road and, of course, climate change. We are excited to be launching this, but it will put a strain on our funds.

The Green Party in Shropshire is working hard in the councils, in Extinction Rebellion and in many other places to campaign for the ideas and policies needed to transform the County and to get Shropshire to play its part in climate change mitigation. In recent weeks we have had loads of press on everything from local democracy in Oswestry to air quality in Bridgnorth. Our voice is being heard, so this is a great time to bring together our central proposals for the county, and to show those who might either join or work with us that our ideas are positive, realistic and thought through.

The Green New Deal for Shropshire will be launched at the Darwin Community Centre on Tuesday 14th May , 7pm, to include guest speaker Dr Ellie Chowns, our lead candidate for the (likely) European Parliament election in the West Midlands.
