The Pupils from Shute Primary School would like to raise money by swimming the English Channel and back of approximately 44 miles in the swimming pool (2,520 lengths). The money raised will be evenly divided between Shute School and the self-funded community swimming pool.

The money raised for Shute School will help with much needed sports equipment to improve health, fitness and wellbeing for all ages. The school has limited funding and relies on the PFTA / Parents to fund most activities.

The Flamingo Pool has been at the heart of the community and is an essential community HUB for children / adults to meet, socially, physically, forging new friendships. Unfortunately, along with other local businesses the flamingo pool, a self-funded charity was forced to close due to the coronavirus pandemic which meant a financial estimating loss of £50,000.
