I am currently part of a very exciting choir called Vision Signing Choir based in Gillingham and with a new branch starting in Maidstone in January 2017. We have the wonderful privilege of attending various events and performing for free to the public using sign language as our method of communication. By performing these songs using BSL (british sign language) we are able to bring both the deaf and hearing communities together and encourage more people to take an interest in this wonderful language that it somewhat overlooked in the UK.
Vision signing choir is a non profit organisation that relies on fundraising and donations to enable us to travel around Kent to perform for free at various hospitals, schools and shopping centres also helping others to raise money for charity.
We'd like to ask for a little help from our friends in the Medway and Maidstone area this year in order to prevent hypothermia this winter and try and raise some much needed funding for the club.
Any donations small or large will be gratefully received and you will be supporting a choir that goes above and beyond to help in both the deaf and hearing community.
