    Story

We are planning to run in tough mudder. Tough mudder claims to be the toughest event on the planet. It is a 10-12 mile mud and obstacle course designed to drag you out of your comfort zone by testing your physical strength, stamina, and mental grit. With no podiums, winners, or clocks to race against, it’s not about how fast you can cross the finish line. Rather, it’s a challenge that emphasizes teamwork, camaraderie, and accomplishing something almost as tough as you are.
Me and Chloe, My 17 year old daughter have decided to tackle this alone! All monies raised will go to Orchard Service who care for children and young people aged between 0-18 who may have a life limited or life threatening condition. Orchard Service matters to me because I am their play specialist. As a play specialist I help children, using play techniques, to understand more about their condition and treatment. They can explore exactly what is going to happen to them along their journey, I cannot begin to tell you how important this can be to a child, but let me tell you it helps! Enough about me and my role! My team at Orchard also consists of nurses, a social worker and a clinical psychologist. Together we help families at what can be the worst times of their lives. I am raising money to allow us to continue providing this amazing service to our families. Donated funds go towards providing things which are 'above and beyond' what the NHS would typically supply. We have used our trust fund in the past to support families through bereavement by funding memory items which enable to continue bonds after their child has died, we are considering it being used for staff training and we also try to hold events where our families can meet and be around others who are in a similar situation and feel part of a wider community. These are some things we have used it for in the past and we want to use it for so much more! Please dig deep or small and help our Orchard Service Community!
    Thank you :0)
