Story

Being recently diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer has been quite overwhelming at times but I'm trying to take any positives I can from a rubbish situation and...I hope you'll help me! If you know me at all, you'll know how much I love my job and where I work and I'm really going to miss the pupils and staff whilst I go through my treatment. I'm ready to shave my hair off in readiness for the impact of chemotherapy and I wonder if you'd consider sponsoring me/donating some money for the pupils and staff at Llanwern to help me support them in my absence.

Specifically, I would love to be able to fund three things:

1. Free tea and coffee for staff for the rest of the academic year - this would be an absolute luxury! Hoping to stretch to a few custard creams on a Friday too (steady).

2. Four laptops which can be loaned to support the language development of EAL pupils arriving at the school.

3. Funding for additional events/pupils rewards in the school's brand new Celebrating Diversity calendar.

All three are very close to my heart.

I have set a ridiculously ambitious of £2500 to fund them all, but any amount you could spare - even a few pounds - will make a real difference to our school community in a very challenging year. I can guarantee you that any donations you make will help keep me positive as I undergo my treatment.
