Side by Side with Refugees – 10 Years On

Side by Side with Refugees began with us travelling to the Calais Jungle, taking aid to people living in incredibly difficult conditions, and continuing that support in both Calais and Dunkirk.

Ten years ago, we started with a simple belief: small acts can make a real difference.

Now, in our 10th year, those acts include:

🧥 Providing clothing for people arriving in the UK

🥘 Supplying food when it’s urgently needed

📱 Offering phone top-ups so no one is completely cut off

🤲 Supporting charities already doing the hard work on the ground

Before Christmas, we tried to raise funds to support this work, but a technical issue with the fundraising platform meant donations didn’t come through. It was disappointing — but it hasn’t changed our determination to keep going.
