Story
A few months ago, our world changed forever when our little boy, Maximus, was diagnosed with cancer.
Like every parent, our only concern was making sure he got through it. But alongside the fear came something we never expected.
The bills didn't stop.
Mortgage payments.
Fuel to the hospital.
Parking charges.
Food.
Time away from work.
Families shouldn't have to choose between earning a wage and being beside their child during cancer treatment.
Working families are under supported (same old story) and I've seen first hand the impact of families having to work whilst their child needs them.
That's why I'm creating The Side by Side Childhood Cancer Foundation.
My aim is to get 500 people, to pledge £10 a month as a recurring monthly donation. So 5 families can receive monthly, £1000 grants to ease a part of their worries.
This charity won't be about merchandise, expensive offices or unnecessary overheads.
It's about real, practical help.
The money donated will go towards supporting families facing the toughest time of their lives.
We are currently applying for charity registration with the Charity Commission. While that process is underway, all donations will be held securely and used solely to establish and fund the Foundation's charitable work once registration is complete.
If you'd like to help us give families more time together when they need it most, I'd be incredibly grateful for your support.
