Story
On August 14, 2017 a mudslide killed more than 1000 people (Government Authorities Claim) in the mountain town of Regent on the outskirts of Sierra Leone's capital Freetown, sweeping away homes and leaving residents desperate for news of missing family members.(Sierra Leone mudslides 'kill more than 1,000') . About 3,000 people are estimated to be homeless. There is high risk of waterborne diseases such as cholera and typhoid spreading as more flooding is expected. The Sierra Leone Bristol Association ( SLEBA ), made up of Sierra Leoneans in and around Bristol whose families are directly affected. Also as Sierra Leoneans citizens we are fundraising to help provide victims with emergency supply of non perishable food and sanitary products. Thousands of Women and children are homeless. PLEASE DONATE WHATEVER LITTLE YOU CAN TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY SUPPORT TO SIERRA LEONE HOMELESS AND DISPLACED VICTIMS. (Sierra Leone mudslide disaster killed more than 1,000 - local leader and minister). Thank you.
