We would like to thank everyone who has commented on the passing of our dear friend and bodybuilder Silvio Martinez.

Silvio who has spent many years with us here at Formula Fitness sadly passed away on Thursday 15th of July 2021 from complications as a result of Covid-19, which he contracted mid June.

Silvio, who was originally from Venezuela, leaves a mother, a daughter, a sister and a brother who still currently reside in that stricken part of the world, and his work ethic enabled him to send funds to his mother and family on a regular basis to support them.

So here I am, once again, asking for help like I’ve done so many times in the past for local people to help them get much needed medical care and aids to help them up in life.

Silvio leaves behind a partner in the UK, who without our help would have the burden of funeral costs, and other financial consequences. We have already had an overwhelming response, with offers from people wanting to help at this tragic time, which has seen my contribution treble within the gym community in just two days. Close friends of Silvio’s and my customers have pledged money to help cover these costs. Any remaining funds will be sent to Silvio’s family to help them move forward in an area of the world overrun by corruption and to help Beth and Dolly Doodle (Silvio's fur baby) with anything they need at this difficult time.

Any small donation would help so that we can give Silvio a real good service and the send off that he truly deserves.

His passing has broken many hearts within our community and also the Selby area where he worked previously in the DW gymnasium. He will never be forgotten.
