Weʼve raised £505 to pay for a scan that Simba needs to find out how best he can be treated for his heart condition

Story
Simba is in the long term care of Peterborough Cat Rescue and we know Simba has a heart condition, but we don’t yet know what it is, he needs a scan this would cost around £500 to make a proper diagnosis.
This is a pre-existing condition, so not covered by our insurance and neither Peterborough Cat Rescue, Simba’s fosterer Tirra can afford to cover the cost.
For now we are keeping an eye on Simba checking his heart rate every day… whilst he is resting we had noticed the other day that Simba’s heart was pounding alot harder than normal and he seemed of colour so we took him to the vets and he is now on medication to try and help him, but because we don’t really no what is wrong with him without the scan.

7 years agoSimba had his vet checkup today to see how he's doing on the meds he has, they do appears to be helping in the interim. You can see his vet visit on video on the Simba's Story Facebook blog page which is linked above. Thanks so much to everyone who has donated, we should now be able to organise Simba's scan and will see then what treatment he will need on-going. Lots of thanks from his volunteer fosterer Tirra too.
