Story
Hello everyone.
My name is Simon from a little town called Spennymoor in Co Durham.
I am a committee member and Chaperone for a young children’s charity. A youth theatre group named SYTG
Over previous years I have done lots of hiking / walks including Ben Nevis, and hiked up a mountain to witness a live active volcano at Iceland. I have once again decided to put on my walking boots and help raise funds by walking up Mount Snowdon in Wales.
On 4th July 2023 I will be setting off on the Llanberis Path up Mount Snowdon and I am hoping that whilst I get prepared for my walk, can I ask the lovely people of this world to help our amazing kids at SYTG to support me by sponsoring my walk. Every little helps. Your donations will go towards the costs of our up coming shows
Spennymoor Youth Theatre Group
Spennymoor Youth Theatre Group was formed in 1995 as a non profit charity organisation to meet the needs of the young people of Spennymoor. We have a large cast of children age ranging from 7 to 21 years of age. We meet every Friday for rehearsals to perform 2 shows a year. Our shows, including stage sets, costumes, props and all the fees incurred from licences can sometimes hit costs of over £12,000. We have won numerous awards from NODA for best production to best individual in show.
We keep our children's subs at a low rate meaning our group is accessible to all families no matter what. Therefore, as a charity based group, myself and other committee, as well as the children are looking looking to raise funds to put on a show at our local town hall. Unfortunately, we can not always pay the funds required to do this, this is one reason I am asking the good public of this world at these hard times to help our amazing talented children to raise a few £££.
