Story

April 2015, our first proper holiday. We took Lewis on his dream holiday, snowboarding in the Scottish Mountains.

On the way home, we broke down next to a sheep field and Wendy, Joshua and Lewis all waited in the layby for a few hours, sitting in the long grass.

A day or so later, Wendy became very unwell with flu symptoms, and found 3 ticks in her stomach. We checked the boys over, but couldnt find any ticks on them, so thought they were ok.

Over the past 3 years we have been desperately trying to find Wendy answers to her severely debilitating illness. The boys have been raised by myself, their step dad, as Wendy has been unable to care for them, left bedbound and wheelchair ridden, suffering from possible seizures and has a diagnosed heart condition.

This past year has seen Lewis suffer similar symptoms. Light aversion, dizziness, head pain, extremely painful joints and behavioural changes. He has been asking for painkillers all day, every day for a year, and despite Gp visits, orthopaedics, and sheffield children's hospital rheumatology, the cause can't be found. We asked the specialist what his opinion was regarding Lyme disease, and we found we were then dropped from his care. We have no where to go, meanwhile Lewis continues to deteriorate.

Wendy will be giving up her treatment so that we can find out if lewis does indeed have lyme too, and then we will find him the treatment he needs. We are hoping to raise a little to buy Lewis some time in London at a private clinic, possible testing, possible treatments including CBD for pain relief, and possibly a passport to take him abroad to a Lyme literate doctor.

Thankyou for any and all donations.
