I've raised £10000 to support the Simon Diffey Heritage Motorsport Apprentice Award 2023

The Simon Diffey Heritage Motorsport Apprentice Award 2023
“A New Year dawns bringing with it hope and new opportunity”
The 2023 Award will be a secondment to join a classic racing team for one month during the Summer 2024 race season.
We are now heading into Year 2 and looking to top up the Award’s financial tank so that we may continue Simon’s legacy, of giving the opportunity to get young people into an old car who could not otherwise be able to afford to go racing.
We are delighted to continue the sale of our lucky black cat stickers with a donation to the Just Giving web site. Stickers can be collected from the Heritage Skills Academy at Bicester Heritage or the Wriggly Monkey.
THE AWARD
Objective: To continue in perpetuity, a legacy of Simon’s ethos in recognising & encouraging the next generation of young Heritage Apprentice Engineers through opportunity in Motorsport.
Awarded to: A young individual, identified by a select panel of judges, for demonstrating talent in engineering, passion, enthusiasm, and exceptional commitment as a team player during their apprenticeship.
THE PRIZE
• To live and work for 1 month with a famous Heritage Motorsport race team
• A £3,000 award to cover the cost of accommodation, travel and subsistence during their secondment
• Secondment to include at least one international Historic Motorsport event
• Plus, an opportunity to obtain ARDS race license
(Note: The Award will be made a year in advance to be taken the following summer)
