Story

UPDATE:

We smashed our initial target of £5K even before the BIG DAY...so a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all those who have contributed so far and we know there are lots of family, friends and supporters who will be pledging their support before and after the ride so we have adjusted our target to raise more valuable funds for this fantastic cause !!!

Youth Sport Trust which was a charity that Simon Jones one of Northop Cricket Club (NCC) members had a passion for being a keen amateur sportsman throughout his life which tragically was cut short in October 2025.

Simon was a season ticket holder at both Manchester United and Wrexham FC and was also a great supporter of Northop Cricket Club. Simon had 3 children Ffion & Connie and son Henry who plays in the under 13’s and also represents Airbus playing football, following in his fathers footsteps as a promising star of the future!!

The Northop Old Boys ( NOBS) are a cycling group attached to NCC and Simons brother in law Stevie Greig is a keen sportsman and cyclist too and his fellow cyclists are going to pay homage to Simon and cycle in one day to all 3 of Simon’s favourite sports venues
