I am going to brave the save and support one of my friends in her amazing decision to shave off all of her hair!! Her name is Emma and her page and story is below.

We are looking to raise only £1,000 to buy 5 wigs for those unfortunate people going through chemo and losing their hair.

I also know that there are many of you that would pay good money to get rid of my current hairstyle, so now’s your chance!!

Hi!
My name is Emma, and I've decided to shave my head on Thursday 3rd August!!!!
I'm doing it in support of my cousin Andrew, here is his story:
Andrew recently had treatment for Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and began to lose his hair. This was the point at which he saw himself as a 'cancer patient', and found it a traumatic experience. He said, he 'can only imagine how women and children are affected by this dreaded side effect'.
He began researching wigs, and was shocked to find out that you aren't always entitled to a free one from the NHS. A basic NHS wig costs the patient £67, with more luxurious ones costing thousands. An average upgrade costs about £200.
If we raise £1000, we can help 5 people who are struggling in this situation.
Andrew has since been given the fantastic news that he is in remission, but has continued to fund raise for this fantastic cause - with a recent wig being produced for a young mum going through a difficult time.
Please donate!! I may be considered 'brave' for shaving my head, but it's not even remotely comparable to the loss of your hair when it isn't your choice!!! I'm fortunate enough for it to grow back - so lets help those who aren't in that position!!
