Story

I moved into this house in Febuary of last year and fell in love, it has a gorgeous garden I've been slowly improving and it's perfectly modified to suit my needs. It even had a window I could leave open for my cats to come and go when I was in.

Only, just before last Christmas I stayed over at a friend's for the night and came home to find the place a mess. Since then it's happened twice more, they have taken over £2000 of items but what's worse is they have taken things that meant the world to me. Those silly little items that are worth nothing but mean the world to you.

The most recent instance of this burglary was perhaps the most harrowing. I would usually close the window when I leave the house since this has been happening but this once I didn't. That's because I was taken in an ambulance to the hospital dehydrated and unable to keep down even a sip of water because of a severe kidney infection. I spent a sleepless night in an overcrowded ward with a drip in my arm only to come home and find I'd forgotten to close the window and they had taken advantage of this.

I am hoping I can gather enough to put towards getting bars on my window, that way if I forget to close it for any reason it won't matter, they still won't get in. If I manage to be lucky enough to get more than I need to cover that I will put the extra towards starting to replace the replaceable things they stole. Sadly they took too many things that can never be replaced.
