Story

In July 2019 my dream is to visit Dharamsala with 'Global Action' and learn more about the culture, politics as well as its links. In addition, I would love to help teach young children English and gain a wider understanding of the problems in the area with not just politics but poverty.
In Dharamsala i'll learn about conservation, world religions, fairtrade, women's empowerment and visit many charities.

I will be taking part in worshops in the Himalayas that involve sustainability, globalisation, water resources, Tibetan
culture, medicine, Fair Trade and enterprise, women's empowerment and the protection of endangered culture. Such indispensable knowledge will allow me to take part in these captivating workshops with the necessary grasp to make a huge difference.

The reasons why I care deeply about going to India are more to do with passion and humility. As a student i've only seen pictures of causes i'd like to support on an interactive screen shrouded by the same four walls. Only in lessons have I heard of certain cultures yet not been able to understand them to the core. Giving support to people not pictures is my dream and going to India will not only allow me to give to others, but also to broaden my mind about real problems bigger than me and how the myriad of areas find panaceas to these problems.

I really want to help, speak to and listen to the voices of those who need it as well as learn more about Buddhism, Sikhism and Hinduism in India and their influences on people and different locations. Finally, I would visit places like Amritsar's 'The Golden Temple', the 'Himalayas', Buddhist Monasteries and Hindu Temples where i'd learn about 'World Religions', 'Philosophy and Ethics' and 'Meditation'. This will instill in me holistic values that will stand me in good stead for the future.

A young child in Dharamsala is sitting in front of a chalk board surrounded by four walls not knowing someone would help.

Please help that be me, thank you for reading.
