The funds raised by this match will go towards our Sikhi Camps Project. The camps our destined to enlighten the next generation and spark an interest to delve further into their Sikhi. Alongside these camps we also run our Street Self Defence Class. We feel more then ever that racism and attacks against women have been on the rise and this can be seen on the news recently. It is important that we are pro active and teach our children the basic arts to defend. The courses are not only for children but for adults too, especially important for women we feel. In the news recently we have been women being abducted, raped and killed. We try to install a street awareness and confidence in our sisters.
We have worked on various projects over the past couple of years and here is just a few to highlight our work in the community -
Grooming awareness and victim support
Shaheed singh families sponsorship
Kisaan sponsorship (transport from pinds)
Substance abuse workshops
Supporting the West Midlands 3 and Free Jaggi Campaigns
Sikhi Camps
Self Defense Camps
Free Boxing to get adults off alcohol and substances
We have recently started to do more events that helps raise awareness and builds bonds between our community. If you want to participate in future events or any seva please get in touch. These are events that we have done recently -
Spartan Race (We took over 50 people from the podcast) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tumXJmmjavI&t=271s
