Story

After a challenging few months during which time I completely broke down, and where life was incredibly hard, the ever patient and wonderful Simon has agreed (been coerced) to join me in walking/running/cycling a combined distance of 500km during the month of March with all proceeds going to help the work of Anam Alba in the community.

I haven’t been able yet to get to the point of getting back out and doing that thing called exercise. It has been a tough one so in the sort of lyrics by that well known band, we would walk/cycle/run 500km (but doubtful that we could walk/cycle/run 500km more)…

So for all who have experienced something similar, fit those who feel lonely, fit those who would just like to be able to come together & take part in any of the activities we offer as part of Anam Alba then we are doing this for all of you.

We’re raising £500 for Anam Alba to continue its work in the community

£50 means we can host our Stovies and Stories nights in the community

£15 buys a ukulele that people can borrow and try before they buy one

£70 helps us run drama projects for children and young people

£40 pays for music sessions in care homes and day centres

£100 lets us run a tenderness day for parents and children

The tiniest of donations help us make all the activities and sessions we offer accessible to everyone in our community

We are grateful to every donation of wave of support to help us develop the work of Anam Alba in the community of Cumbernauld and Kilsyth and beyond

Thank you all

Shivie and Simon
