It all started back in April 2008 when I found a pea sized lump in my breast. Being so young at the age of 24, cancer was the last thing on my mind.

However, after a routine check up and 6 weeks of waiting I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

Following a number of tests I had the cancer removed in August 2008 at Kettering General Hospital. After the operation I then started chemotherapy but was shortly transferred to Northampton hospital where I comtinued my treatment whilst spending a large anount of time in isolation.

During this difficult time, whilst being a mother to my 6 year old son, I recieved huge amounts of support from friends and family.

With 15 weeks of treatment it had to be stopped due to being unwell and was told I wouldn’t be able to have anymore children. However 10 years on I am now a proud mum of 3 beautiful children.

I am now celebrating 10 years in remission and therefore would like to raise money for breast cancer and charities close to me, which supported me on my journey. I will be completing a nail marathon where I will be doing nails for 24 hours, 30 mins each appointment on Sat 1st Sept.
