    Story

THREE SEPARATE GRUELLING AND INTENSE PHYSICAL CHALLENGES: WALK, BIKE & ULTIMATE HIKE!

The last of my challenges is to contemplate the world's most iconic trek: EVEREST Base Camp!!

For the latter half of 2018, I have decided to set myself a series of goals and challenges, which will definitely push me out of my comfort zone in order to support my passion of charity work.

    After having successfully completed:
    1. a marathon distance walk of 42Km in one day along the steep and rocky Dorset's Jurassic Coast in the intense heat (mid-July)
    2. 24mile bike ride in London (end of July)

I have decided to take on the ultimate 2-3 week long trek (end of Oct) to the base of the world's highest most hyped mountain: MOUNT EVEREST!

Being an adventurous thrill seeker, even this was not on my bucket list - the intense gym routine so far, the sheer thought of flying into one of the world's dangerous airports:Lukla,Nepal; the volatile weather conditions/avalanches that I may face out there; and risk of altitude sickness is already making me feel uneasy.

However, the relatively short term tough physical challenges that I may endure during this trek, is nothing in comparison to what the people out in Nepal or in UK are facing on a daily basis.

Nepal is one of the poorest nations, with limited public services provided by the government e.g.health care; education; sanitation, leaving many local people in a desperate position. The devastating 2015 earthquake has only worsened the plight of Nepal's poor, with many families still living in temporary accommodation.

The money donated will be used to support the basic essential needs of the local community in Nepal to help make a difference.
In the UK, the aim is to support a local homeless charity by providing hampers over the winter period. Every pound donated will be used towards these great causes.

Please help support me in my challenge...your donations will truly help enrich the lives of others.

    Thanking you in advance

    Sital

Was a really tough and steep walk along the rocky Jurassic Coast (Dorset) especially in the intense heat we had on Saturday 21st July, however managed to exceed my own personal goal and completed the distance of "A marathon: 42 Km" :-) This is an ongoing fundraiser for 2018, where my 2nd challenge is a 24mile bike ride end of July. Thank you to all those that have supported so far!
