Story

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Siyamsunthar Charlie Sigaganasundaram — a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a cherished member of our community. Siyam's kindness, warmth, and generosity touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

A proud and successful entrepreneur, Siyam founded Edinburgh’s very first Indian grocery store "Amma Spices" — a milestone business that supported communities and families across the city. His constant willingness to uplift others extended far beyond his work, as he generously supported countless community events and gatherings over the years.

Siyam was also well known for his passionate love of Liverpool FC — a true fan whose enthusiasm could light up any room on match day.

As we navigate this heartbreaking time, we are seeking support to help cover funeral and related expenses, ensuring that we honour Siyam's life in a dignified and meaningful way. Any contribution — small or large — will make a difference and will be received with deep gratitude.

We kindly ask that you consider sharing this page with others who may wish to support.

The collected funds will be utilised to cover the funeral expenses of Siyam and any remaining balance will be allocated towards supporting Ruben's ongoing care and wellbeing.

Thank you for your compassion, kindness, and support during this incredibly difficult time. Your generosity means more to us than words can express.

With heartfelt appreciation,

The Family and Friends of Siyam
