Story
Sir Joseph Williamson's Mathematical School have successfully gained a grant of £30,000 from Sport England towards a £160,000 project to completely refurbish and reconfigure the Sports Pavilion / OW Clubhouse. The school also has some funds to put towards this project, leaving us with a further £80,000 to find. If we are unable to fund this project we will be forced to return the grant from Sport England.
The Pavilion is very much in need of refurbishment and facilities are struggling to cope with the rise in pupil numbers and the increased use by the very active Old Williamsonian Club sporting sections. These include the OW Rugby Club, Cricket Club and Hockey Club.
This refurbishment will allow us to replace the existing windows throughout, reconfigure the changing rooms and provide new shower facilities. All the existing areas of the pavilion will be completely redecorated. This will make a massive difference to both pupils and all other users of the Pavilion / Club house.
