Hi, I'm Joe and I'm the lead singer of the band, Ska House. In 2004 I was diagnosed with Leukaemia. Thankfully, I'm OK now, but it was a really tough time for me and my family.

At the time we got support from a fantastic Yorkshire charity called Candlelighters. They help families all over Yorkshire who are facing cancer. Me and my family couldn't have coped without them.

But now, it's my turn to give something back.

I spoke to the rest of the guys in the band and we've decided to hold a charity gig on the 16th September at Roberttown WMC to raise money for Candlelighters. We're currently in the very early stages of planning this, but It's going to be a great day and we've invited a load of other bands and musicians to contribute. We're also hoping to reach out to local celebrities to try and generate as much publicity as we can.

This event is very close to our hearts, so it would mean the world to us if you could make a donation - however big or small that may be.

Let's make this an event one to remember, and raise as much money for those families as we can!
