Story

Hello everyone,

I would like to tell you all about a truly soecial little boy called Ozzie.

Ozzie is 11 months old and has spent half of his life in hospital. Ozzie suffered a stroke in the womb which wasn’t detected until he was a few months old, prior to this he developed perfectly and was an incredibly happy baby.

After some time, Ozzie began to have seizures. The medical professionals tried many different mediactions to try and prevent further damage to Ozzie’s brain. However, this was unsuccessful and Ozzie ended up having an operation called a Corpus Callostomy, soperating the left and right sides of his brain. Again, this operation was unsuccessful and Ozzie began to deteriorate.

After further tests, steroid treatment, a ketogenic diet and many more nights in Bristol Childrens Hospital, Ozzie had an operation called Vagus Nerve Stimulation. this meant that any seizure actuvity in his brain could be reduced by swiping a magnet across his chest and reducing the electrical signals. Fortunately, this had a huge improvement on Ozzie‘s health and meant that we could focus on bringing him home.

Ozzies current conditions:

*very frequent myoclonic jerks which affect his whole body. *severe epilepsy. *Opsoclonus (chaotic eye movement). *Right Hemiperesis (weakness on his right side). *Globally Delayed Development. *Cerebral Visual Impairment. *Refeactory Epilepsy (medication immune).

I have decided to do a 10,000ft skydive to raise money for specialised equiptment for Ozzie. Please help me to reach my target of £1000, the skydive is on the 29th of July and will be in Salisbury.

As a family, we truly appreciate any donation towards Ozzie’s development and will endeavour to increase his qaulity of life. Thank you SO much for your support.
