Story
For a number of years my school has been supporting the work of the Parish of Santa Rita, El Terminal, Iquitos, Peru. In 2011, 2013 and again in 2016 Sixth Form students had the opportunity to fundraise for, visit and work with this community.
In 2020 I am hoping to be one of a small group of teenagers chosen to fly 6033 miles to Lima, Peru to take part in a World Challenge Expedition. We will be helping a community that is nowhere near as fortunate as ours and hopefully making their lives a lot better through the work that we will do with them. As they don’t receive a proper education, we will be teaching them English, doing parish work and doing sports coaching to help them to receive the education they deserve.
I will be spending the next two years fundraising to achieve my place on this life-changing trip and would be extremely grateful for any donations I receive.
