Story

50km in One Day

Our challenge is to paddle from Lincoln to Boston 3rd July 2021 using a 6 person SUP, covering 50 km on the River Witham. Slea Paddlers is looking to raise a substantial amount of money that will be split 50 / 50 with The Berwick & District Cancer Support Group.

The club is located in Sleaford, Lincolnshire and wants to improve the paddling equipment and crafts. Our primary objective is to bring canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddling to the local community. The club offers a safe environment in which British Canoeing qualified coaches instruct a range of paddle sport disciplines.

In addition we want to provide a significant donation to The Berwick & District Cancer Support Group. The group provided support to a dear friend Miriam Holden, of our club and local community, who sadly passed away in April this year. She will be sorely missed and we want to provide a note of gratitude to The Berwick & District Cancer Support Group as recognition of the work they do into their own local area.

Please help us raise this money for Slea Paddlers Canoe and Kayak Club and The Berwick & District Cancer Support Group.

Thank you in advance for your kindness.
