Story
Sierra Leone is one of the worlds most beautiful yet tragic countries. Suffering from severe poverty, civil war and as recently as 2 years ago, Ebola. On the 14th of August 2017, the country was struck with yet another tragedy, as a landslide has decimated the Capital city of Freetown, killing over 300 people. I have visited Sierra Leone myself and have seen first hand how amazingly strong its people are, their unshakeable spirits seeing them through each travesty they face, yet with one of the worlds smallest economies, this landslide will bring the country to yet another standstill. Sierra Leone seems to go unrecognised in the modern day, however, I refuse to allow the beautiful people of Sierra Leone to be forgotten. Any money raised will be given to St.Josephs college who annually visit Sierra Leone and have a strong affiliation with the Christian Brothers. The money will be used to help the people who have been most affected and will hopefully allow them to recover from yet another set back in their truly sorrowful history. Thank you
