Weʼre raising £500 to help buy study equipment and employ new teachers for our mobile school in Pakistan for the children of the Pakhiwas (nomad) community.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

At Slumabad, we are working toward building a brighter future for the children of the local Pakhiwas community - semi-nomadic families in Pakistan, often living in Slums. Their children are often denied their basic right to education due to the social discrimination they face, coupled with a lack of awareness about their basic rights.

Slumabad runs a mobile school so that as many children can benefit as possible. We also help parents with counselling on hygiene , health and legal issues. The team is equipped with indigenous experience and knowledge to realistically address the community's needs and aspirations.

The desire to learn can be seen by the amount of students who come to study with us - however we can't always fit everyone in our tent! Help us buy books and stationery, employ more teachers and give each child the personalised education that they deserve!
