We are Smartway Logistics(Based in Brighton), we provide sustainable transport solutions across the UK and Europe. We are part of van der Wal Transport.

van der Wal Transport have set up a supply chain to get donated humanitarian aid(Medical, Food and Clothing etc..) from all across Europe to the growing refugee crisis in the Ukraine, using our trucks and affiliated hauliers. We are providing direct support to agencies such as the Red Cross and UNICEF plus many more agencies. Our team from all across the whole of Europe is in daily communication with the people on the ground and delivering 100 plus tons of Humanitarian Aid direct to those that need it.

We are focusing on providing in addition to the Medical, Food and Clothing other requirements have arisen as the growing Refugee crisis grows. One of the issues that we are facing is that of communication between the vehicles in the convoys and for the people running the distributions points on the Polish and Romanian border and in the Ukraine.

We are wanting to provide 40 hand held Motorola Two-way radios and 100+ Mobile phones, plus power field generator for the Destitution points so they can be run in remote locations. This infrastructure will allow the agencies to provide better support to more people. We are in talks with major UK & European communication companies so we can buy at reduced prices the phones and radios, but need to raise the funds to buy them.

We appreciate that times are hard with the increasing costs of living and there are numerous campaigns asking for donations. I am asking for ideally a donation(any amount) to our just giving page.

If you are unable to make a donation you still can help by forwarding the link to family and friends on your own social media network as this will spread the word.

Alternatively, If you are having any collections locally in Church, Schools, Clubs, Work or Pubs etc… please consider making the donations of the collection to our Humanitarian Aid Mission. If you are making any collections within your local communities below is a list of items that are in high demand. Various charities have set up collection points across the UK. Alternatively we can always advise on a solution to get the collections to the refugees (send me a message on 07970 739 410)

- FOOD only with long shelf life. (Canned food, instant noodles, baby nutrition etc…)

- Baby formula (artificial milk)

- Diapers

- Baby wipes (fragrance free)

- Batteries, power banks

Sanitary products for woman’s hygiene

- Soaps, shower gels, shampoos and conditioners

- Chapsticks

- Blankets

- Sudocrem

- Old Mobile phones and Charges(UK to Euro Plug converters if you have one)

Today you can be part of our Humanitarian Aid Mission and help us, help the People of the Ukraine. Together we are strong and will stand up to those that are causing this Humanitarian Crisis in the Ukraine and the stability of the World. Evil will triumph when good people stand by and do nothing.
