I've raised £32000 to help fund interventions to support good mental health in the community

Unresolved mental health problems lie at the heart of some of our greatest social challenges. The worry and fear of isolation and rejection every year there are more and more fatalities from suicide, poor mental health is the hidden factor that can affect anyone and is hard to talk about. Making good mental health a positive thing to talk about and work towards needs to become the norm. Working with children and adults through clinics and activities in the community using sport, music and art to find different ways of expressing ourselves.
Supporting the work will give people the opportunities to learn how to have good mental health and deal with the anxiety within.
S.M.I.L.E (Simply Make It Look Easy) works to reduce offending, address social isolation and works with physical and emotional disabilities.
If people struggle with depression we work with them finding a way through the darkness, if people struggle with anxiety we help find a smoother path. The fear of judgement stops people getting the help they need and can destroy many lives.
By supporting S.M.I.L.E Gala you can help provide local clinics to help people feel more comfortable with their everyday mental wellbeing and learn practical tools to support their family and friends.
We work to ensure that everyday mental wellbeing is being supported and people are able to live a better life through the difficult times and they get the help they need without any stigma.
We care about mental health as we know the hardships that trauma and life experiences can bring. We have lost loved ones from their stuggle of mental health and the remaining family members we know petsonslly how hard life can be when we have experienced loss in a tragic way. We understand how the mind can bring isolation and amxiety and we have been fortunate to have loved ones around us not to judge. Not everyone has this fortune so we work to provide a support system and early intervention so desperately needed.
