We are raising £1,300 to fund a donation of blankets to Harrogate Hospitals 'Bluebell Suite', which looks after families who have to say goodbye to their baby. The Bluebell Suite at Harrogate, allows families to stay in a safe place with the support of a full medical team to deliver their baby and spend time with their baby in the most traumatic of circumstances.

In February 2026, this is exactly what happened to myself and husband Rich when we delivered our beautiful son 'Squish' at 35 weeks who was born sleeping.

There is an incredible team who supported us all the way, however what we felt we didn't have at the time was something comforting, physically and emotionally until my family brought me in a blanket which, I used throughout my labour and also to wrap myself in when I met our son Squish. It has since provided us with a significant amount of comfort at home, allowing us to feel as close as possible to our son 💙.

We would like to buy a blanket for every family who spends time in the Bluebell Suite, for the next year, to bring them comfort during the darkest of times.

Any additional funds after the targeted £1,300 will be shared with 'Our Angels', who are a wonderful charity who support Harrogate with the Bluebell Suite, buying medical equipment, making sure memory boxes are created for each family which can be cherished forever and, by financially supporting PETALS, who are an invaluable charity who offer bespoke councilling for families who have lost their baby. PETALS, are currently, and will continue to support Rich and I through life as it now stands for us, so any money you can give, we can honestly say will mean so much to both us and future families who will rely on this support.
