Story

"Swinging On a Star" (Cover) by Down the Lock

Aberdeen-based singer-songwriter Dan Leckie has arranged for an international group of musicians to record a cover of "Swinging On a Star" to raise money for the Red Cross. The aid organization is doing tremendous humanitarian work to support those affected by the Coronavirus outbreak worldwide.

Please take a listen to the song and share amongst your friends on Facebook! This is not available to download for copyright reasons but please make a donation here.

A special thanks to Tony Romaine, who sings and plays ukulele on the track, as well as mixing the song, and to all the musicians: Ameya Abhyankar (Tabla), Scott Cruickshank (Lead Guitar), Matt Duncan (Lap Steel Guitar), Amanda Easton (Vocals), Michelle Lawrie (Vocals), Dan Leckie (Keyboard & Guitar), Colin "Bano" Mackie (Vocals), and Tony Romaine (Vocals).

Also, a big thanks to Tony Romaine, Matt Duncan, Dan Leckie and Ameya Abhyankar for appearing in the music video as well as to Amanda Easton for not only appearing in the music video but also contributing post-production work on it.

The song was entirely recorded from the musicians' homes and produced by Dan Leckie & Tony Romaine.
