Story
Our soccer stars graduated from iThemba School in Fish Hoek three years ago. We keep in contact with graduates, so when we heard of an opportunity for a few of our boys to join a local soccer club, we immediately thought of these four boys. Practicing soccer brings them so much joy! Although they arrive in broken shoes, they persevere and play the game with such exuberance. They are getting excellent coaching from Christian role models… we would love to help them make the most of this opportunity by getting them the gear they need!

6 years agoWe are able to get the boys footwear and kit. It is effectively the start of a 2 year trial for our 8-9 year old boys. They practice twice a week at the local club and once a week with an Ubuntu Football Academy coach. At age 11 Ubuntu selects their team. Ubuntu is more than a sports development organization. They believe in long-term mentorship, Christian discipleship and education of their players. The boys + their families know their kit has come from Christian friends. Much appreciated! After the Easter break I will share a pic. From Janet

I have been working in South Africa as iThemba School Principal since 2015. This provides an unusual opportunity to give under-privileged children a good start and to uplift people from Masi Township. I appreciate the opportunity to teach and show the love of Jesus Christ.
