I am so desperate to study social work at university and influence the future of our society and social work support systems. However SFE will not provide me with nearly enough of a loan to cover living alone in my flat and having to give up my job to go and study therefore loosing my only source of income. This is because I am under the age of 25 (I'm 22) and therefore they expect my parents to still financially pay for me which is just wrong. I am an adult and don't want my divorced low income parents to be responsible for whether or not I can attend university and put that kind of financial pressure on them.

So I suppose this is a plea for anything you can spare to allow me to put this money aside to be able to live the basics day to day whilst studying, to make it possible.
