Story

We are trying to raise £300 to go towards making a huge difference to the children that reside in our refuge for domestic violence victims. So for maybe just one day, they can smile, laugh and forget the nightmare that they have had to endure too.

We are a non profit company, we run a refuge for ladies and their children, we also provide supported accommodation to over 52 homeless individuals And our budget is stretched to the maximum.

However, this year we would love to give the children that stay with us a day to remember.

You see, when a victim of abuse comes into a refuge, it is mainly the mother who everyone rallies around and although the children are a top priority too, people don’t see what they’ve had to go through, and it is not just what they have witnessed - they have had to leave their homes, their bedrooms, their toys, their clothes, their schools and the friends, ever single thing that is familiar to them. And for as long as they are in the sanctuary of a refuge, their young lives still aren’t as ‘normal’ as they once were, they can’t really play out, they can’t have friends over for dinner, and most of the time, for their own safety, they have to be almost invisible.

Please can we, together with your help make this Christmas a day to remember. We want to give them a winter wonderland.

Thank you
