Funded on Saturday, 15th January 2022

    Story

    So...

I have recently been diagnosed with Young Onset Alzheimer's Disease and to be honest it wasn’t the best day in my life when I was told.

So... what next? Well, I have been prescribed medication to help slow down the effects of the disease and I should have at least 20 years with not too many problems.

So... It's not like I've got cancer, is it? No, Alzheimer's Disease is incurable!

Thank you all who donated so far, I can not begin to be grateful enough for your generosity. However, we want to be able to help more and more people and unfortunately there is not a lot of funding to be had. We are now trying to raise funds to be able to help people to get aids to make their lives a bit easier and less stressful. These include simple things as magnetic 7 day reminders for fridge doors, pill organisers and trackers for keys or people you care for. Some are cheap and some are more expensive, but we as a charity want to be able to help as much as possible.

So... if you can please help and help make younger people with dementia lives a little easier.

Hi I've just updated our target to £1500 as we want to be able to help people get aids to help with their everyday lives. These include magnetic 7 day reminder that can go on fridge doors, pill organisers and also trackers for keys or people you care for. So, to this end we are also organising a Christmas craft fair At Southrepps Village Hall.
