Story

A message from Sofia's mum - please read and dig deep. No little girl should have to deal with this so early in life.

Sofia was born with a rare genetic condition called congenital amegakaryocytic thrombocytopenia.... this basically means her bone marrow would fail by the time she was 5. There are only 70 cases on the world!! The only option was a bone marrow transplant which she had in April 2016, since then she has had lots of complications post transplant including glandular fever, graft verses host disease and currently bubbles in her bowel with risk of perforation. Due to these things we have spent a lot of Of the last year in Sheffield children's hospital. She also has osteoporosis in her spine which meanShe having to learn to walk again. Her hair is just starting to grow back following the chemotherapy she received before transplant
