Story

A self-sufficient solution to our water crisis, not only is a water borehole an excellent way to access pure and natural underground water that can be used for drinking, washing, as drinking water for livestock, and manufacturing processes, but borehole water allows us to reduce the spread of deadliest deases in the community.

Through the help from church congregants, freinds, local businesses and well wishers we are having a project of constructing a solar based water pump for seke clinic from a previously installed hand pumped borehole. By installation of solar pumped borehole, the life of seke residence will never be the same through provision of safer and easy way of accessing water.

I have engaged with beneficiaries of this water project which consist of the clinical managerials, local councils and residence and come up with a draft on how to fund and run this project. This have us to set a fund raising dinner on the Saturday 14th of July (at The gardens hotel. time 1600hrs) to help with this project funding. As well we are using this platform to raise awareness and reach more hands. You can as well put your hand in through this crowdfunding platform to make this project a success.

Since there is already drilled borehole, the phase for such task is eliminated. We are starting from changing steel casing to plastic casing to avoid rust. This work is for the second week of July. With the help of Municipality engineering we are going to install the solar pump and solar panels after the 14th of July to makes use of the funds from our fund raising dinner. This project is proposed to end on the second week of August if all of the set targets are meet.

After the project will be complete both the clinic and the surrounding residence will get a clean and sustainable sources of water since the project is based on a cheaper way to mantain (solar panels). This will do away with the cost of electric bills.
