Hedgehogs are arguably Britains favourite garden visitor, but did you know that they are disappearing at an alarming rate. With some statistics saying that these lovely little creatures could be extinct in as little as 6 years. This may be due to various reasons such as our lifestyles, our impact on their habitat and our part in global warming .

Here at Solihogs Hedgehog Rescue we are doing all we can to play our part in helping hedgehogs survive for many more years to come.

Therefore last year I started up a rescue centre in my garage containing various hutches and release pens within my back garden. To date we have 4 hutches in the garage and in the garden we have a purpose built soft release pen and 4 hedgehog houses which have all been visited in the past year.

At present we are self funding which is becoming more difficult month on month.

Therefore we are in the process of trying to set up donations/funding for these little hogs so that we can continue their vital care. This would help cover things such as vetinary bills, medication, food and bedding to name but a few of the costs To keep the centre going.
