We at Somaliland Intellectuals Institute (SII) would like to fundraise a total of £10,000 to give immediate humanitarian assistance to our people in #Somaliland. Currently, Somaliland is experiencing unprecedented extreme levels of drought, triggered by #ClimateChange phenomenons of #ElNino & #LaNina. It is the duty of all Somalilanders around the globe, from Alaska all the way to South Island in NewZealand to help our people in these testing times. We Somaliland Intellectuals Institute (SII) global community that spans from Australia to Canada, will campaign to raise awareness about drought stricken Somaliland to the international community, and more importantly we will fundraise for this cause by using various strategies and activities, we will share with you during this campaign. The picture shows deceased animals that are littering the countryside of Somaliland, in the regions of Sool, Sanaag, Togdheer, Saahil & Hawd. If we do not not ACT NOW and donate, then we will start to see our people's dead bodies, instead of deceased livestock. We just would like to highlight, that this year's extreme drought, had hit our national economy, which mainly depends on livestock export (Livestock export = 60% Somaliland National Economy).

Finally, please join us to take part in a global 10 Mile walk challenge whilst fasting, just to feel the pain of our people who are suffering back home, we named this challenge #WalkForSomalilandDrought. The money you donate will go to Somaliland's National Drought Committee, which was initiated by Somaliland's government.
