Story
In Autumn 2018, we plan to carry out the 'Anne Frank + You' exhibition at The Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton.
The exhibition will tell Anne Frank's story and relate it to prejudice and discrimination in the modern day, with a strong focus on the issues of identity and moral choice in the UK.
It will be suitable for adults and children at an age of understanding world problems (We say around 10+). We will also be looking to work closely with Somerset schools and Youth groups.
Any contributions made at the event will go towards the exhibition itself, running workshops, inviting visiting speakers and training ambassadors for the exhibition.
The exhibition will be a journey of self-exploration for visitors, with themes that Anne wrote about in her diary. This includes racial hatred, war & conflict and the value of democracy & freedom. This will al be presented in an up-to-date, contemporary fashion, along with filmed interviews with British teenagers discussing their views, concerns and hopes for the future.
Finally, this exhibition will allow local companies and authorities to publicly demonstrate their commitment to building a social cohesive and responsible young community.
We require a large sum of money to carry out this exhibition successfully, but we are asking you for just a small donation. If 1000 of you can donate £5 by our deadline, that will be a HUGE step in the right direction for this to happen!

Anne Frank is inspiring to everyone, especially to the young. What would she would have had achieved had she survived the terrors of the Holocaust? There are lessons for us all in her story. Good luck

The Somerset Anne Frank Awards are a non-profitable charity who honour the younger generation for going that little bit further and making a difference to the world. Inspired by Anne Frank herself, we reward those who help fight against prejudice and discrimination.
