Hi my name is Shivani Patel and I am 16 years old, a student at Beauchamp College, Leicester. In July 2018, I will be participating in a exciting yet challenging adventure to Tanzania with Camp International, who are an international voluntary organisation.

This will be a 4 week long expedition, which will include community work, enviromental projects and enhancing the wild life conservation areas. The core objectives of this expedition is to raise the educational and living standards within a rural district of Tanzania, where by the communties are suffering from high levels of poverty and opportunities for young people are limited, or non-existent. It will also include additional elements like a 4-5 day trek to tackle Mount Meru.

This expedition is extremely important to me because I feel like I will aquire and develop many important life skills such as team buliding, confidence, volenteering, communication skills, meeting new people, and taking on new challenges.

Im really looking forward to this trip but I am also very terrified and nervous of encountering spiders!!!

My request to you is to help me reach my target of £500, which will help towards funding this trip. All donations raised will go towards making a difference in education, housing, healthcare, sanitation, food and water.

(Please note this is not a holiday but a challenge and a expedition in ways of raising money in every which way, to portray ability of setting goals without the help of parents paying it out right as that demonstrates no effort at all).

I will do my utmost to set myself different fundraising challenges, voluntary work & support from my parents to raise as much funds.
