We were recently told that our son Miles has severe Brachycephaly and Plagiocephaly. Plagiocephaly is a condition which is characterised by an asymmetric head shape deformity which occurs in early infancy and can continue throughout life, Brachycephaly is where the back of the head becomes flattened, causing the head to widen, and occasionally the forehead bulges out. Having both of these conditions has caused Miles to have ear misalignment and his jaw is slightly lower on one side.

We are trying to raise £2100 to get Miles a TimBand helmet, this helmet is an advanced cranial remoulding treatment to effectively treat moderate to severe flat head syndrome. These helmets gently correct the position and shape of the bones in the skull as the head grows, and cause absolutely no pain or discomfort. They been shown to improve the overall symmetry and proportions of babies’ head shapes.
There is a limited time frame for Miles to be fitted with a TiMband helmet therefore we are desperately trying to raise the required amount as soon as possible.
