Weʼve raised £1,000 to help fund my participation in the Under 17 Girl's Indoor Cricket World Series. I ran my 10k 2 weeks ago. (I have raised £1,000 off line)

    Story

I feel very honoured and excited to have been chosen to represent my country at the Indoor Cricket World Series in New Zealand. I have been training hard since March and will have to train hard over the next few weeks to ensure that I am ready for the challenge of facing Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. To build up my fitness and to raise money I am going to take part in the Leicester 10k. If you could please sponsor me to do this and help me realise my ambition I would be so thankful to you.

Indoor cricket is a relatively new format of the game. There is no funding provided so the players need to raise money to cover the cost of kit, flights and accommodation. To enable me to go I need to raise £3,000.

Thank you so much for your amazing generosity! I completed my 10 km yesterday. I ran from Houghton and Thurnby (my outdoor cricket club) to the Indoor Cricket Centre (where I train and play indoor). It was hard work , but I managed to keep going despite my Dad's encouragement. I did feel tired but I feel a lot my better than my Dad today!

I played in an indoor tournament in March and was invited to a series of trials for the England Under 17s. I couldn't believe it when I got in. I never thought I would have the opportunity to represent my country and play against Australia, New Zealand and South Africa!
