Story
As anyone who knows me will know, running long distances is not one of my top skills! But who can turn down a run around Disneyland!?! So I'm crazily doing a 10K on 23rd Sept 2017 and I decided that I'd really like to do it for a charity and have chosen a charity close to my heart.
The Pregnancy Sickness Support charity provides support and advise to women suffering from Hypremesis Gravidarum. This is a condition where women suffer from extreme sickness and dehydration during their pregnancy often leading to hospital treatment and serious risks to both mum and baby.
I have watched someone very special to me go through this condition and it was heartbreaking to see the impact on her. She was incredibly poorly throughout, needing to attend hospital a number of times and requiring frequent drips and medication. She had to fight with everything she had just to bring her gorgeous little one into the world. Thankfully, with the knowledge from her first pregnancy and advice from this charity, she was able to be better prepared for her second one and could manage the condition a little better.
Because this condition isn't very common, this charity is very small but I'd really love to give them something in the hope that it helps at least one other person get the support in place quickly.
So thank you for anything you can give xxx
