Story

On the Sunday 4th October my 12-year-old god son Cameron was taken to Wythenshawe hospital by his mum Natasha, as he was suffering with severe nose bleeds. He was checked over by a doctor in A&E and very nearly sent home. Lucky Cameron was kept in over night as the nose bleeds carried on and were uncontrollable. Following on from this Cameron was taken into theatre where the doctors discovered a large tumour in his nose, which had spread behind his cheeks, eyes and forehead. Cameron had lost so much blood he needed an urgent blood transfusion and was put on a life support machine to stabilise his condition. Hours later he was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital where he waited in intensive care for surgery to remove the tumour, which would save his life. The surgery commenced on Wednesday 7th October by an incredibly skilled team of surgeons which took 14 hours. Thankfully, the operation was a success and 99% of the tumour was removed.

Cameron lives at home with the most incredible mum Natasha and his 3 younger siblings, which he loves very much. Cameron is a very special little boy, with the most infectious smile and the biggest bluest eyes you have ever seen. We are hoping to raise money to provide Cameron with an amazing new bedroom, to come home to especially equipped to help with his additional needs. Cameron is autistic and non-verbal and he enjoys his own space and environment. We are hoping to provide him with a safe haven and his own personal space which he can relax and recover in. As life at the moment is tougher than most for Cameron, he deserves something very special after the trauma he has suffered.

Thank you
